Program Recognizes Southern California’s Fastest Growing & Most Exciting Startups
CommSafe AI, (formerly Vigilance Risk Solutions), a technology company that specializes in conflict and violence prevention, has earned a “Cool Companies 2020” designation by CONNECT with San Diego Venture Group.
The annual award program – which recognizes Southern California’s fastest growing, most exciting start-ups – provides top tier, local entrepreneurs looking to raise institutional funding with direct access to capital providers. Since the program’s launch in 2016, its designated “Cool Companies” have raised more than $400 million (just in institutional Series A funding).
CommSafe AI, (formerly Vigilance Risk Solutions), was one of 30 Cool Companies selected from more than 300 applicants this year.
“The San Diego region is a hub for innovation and CONNECT with San Diego Venture Group has had a long history of helping local companies grow and succeed,” said VRS Founder and CEO Ty Smith, a retired Navy SEAL. “We are honored to receive this ‘Cool Companies’ designation and appreciate their continued support as we work to bring new technology and innovation to the conflict and violence prevention industry.”
CommSafe AI is a rapidly growing tech start-up dedicated to helping SMB and mid-market companies prevent the annual $130 billion problem of conflict and violence. Founded in 2015, the company provides companies a Security Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan, Case Management System, AI-Powered Communications Scanning Platform, and a suite of cloud-based training modules. CommSafe AI consists of a team of military special forces and law enforcement veterans, all experts in conflict and violence prevention. The firm recently published a comprehensive guide that includes tips on how to safely bring employees back to the workplace post COVID-19.
To further its push into the market, CommSafe AI was also recently accepted into the Evonexus San Diego Tech & Life Science Incubator, one of the West Coast’s premier tech startup incubators. CommSafe AI was one of less than 10 startups out of more than 1,000 applicants accepted into the incubator in 2020. CommSafe AI’s acceptance comes with a relocation to the incubator’s UTC location in La Jolla, Calif.
