Ty Smith is the Founder and CEO of CommSafe AI. He is a retired United States Navy SEAL Senior Chief. Prior to retiring from the Navy, Ty completed a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University, and a Master of Business for Veterans from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. After 20 years of faithful and honorable service to God and country, Ty launched CommSafe AI, a San Diego-based security consulting and risk mitigation company with special focus in the field of workplace violence mitigation.
Sanjit Singh is a serial startup founder and revenue leader with expertise in sales, marketing strategy, and business development. He is currently Founder & CEO of Boltt, which provides fractional sales leadership for startups. Prior to that, he co-founded LeadCrunch, a San Diego based AI Marketing startup, which raised $18M and built the company to a $24M run rate with 60 employees before he exited to a fund at Series B. He has mentored at SCORE, Startup San Diego, EvoNexus, San Diego Tech Hub, and UCSD StartR. He holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA from UCSB.

Mr. Mauriello is responsible for legal, corporate governance, long-term incentive and equity compensation strategies, risk management, corporate audit services and government affairs. Prior to joining CommSafe[ai], Mr. Mauriello spent 14 years as a corporate transactional attorney at large international law firms in New York City and San Diego, where his practice focused on public company representation, capital markets, venture capital financings, corporate strategy and startup company advising. Mr. Mauriello earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University and his Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University, where he majored in psychology. Victor’s experience includes Intelligence and Security for one of the largest financial institutions in the world, leading the Physical Security Risk Analysis Program. He previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S Army, and the California Army National Guard. His military career consisted of multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in a Surveillance and Reconnaissance discipline. In the National Guard, Victor served as Director of Intelligence for Latin America, for Contingent Security Services. He is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), and earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering from Texas A&M University
Kate is the Vice President of Operations and joined CommSafe AI to manage the company’s daily operations. Prior to joining the CommSafe AI team, Kate was COO and Co-founder Delta V Group, a San Diego-based project management and strategic security consultancy where she created repeatable and scalable processes and managed all administrative functions. She specializes in start-up environments and enabling business communication. Additionally, she has global experience in technical and professional writing, which has allowed her to hone her grant writing and communication skills with nuance and cultural sensitivity.
Ignacio retired after serving nearly 26 years with the U.S. Secret Service. During his career, Ignacio held various senior-level protective positions, including serving on the Presidential Protective Division (PPD) where he helped develop, implement, and manage all physical security plans and risk mitigation strategies for protection of multiple U.S. Presidents and First Families. Ignacio has extensive global experience in the analysis, assessment, and mitigation of security threats, as well as expertise conducting research and training in the prevention of targeted violence in schools and in the workplace. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from San Diego State University and was certified as a federal polygraph examiner by the U.S Department of Defense Polygraph Institute (DoDPI).

Jason Peery is the Resident Managing Director of the Aon Orange County, San Diego, and Las Vegas operations. In addition to leading the territory, he is the Account Executive for a core book of business.
